QUESTION

Legal malpractice

Asked on May 12th, 2016 on Legal Malpractice - Florida
More details to this question:
If the lawyer that was hired sent another lawyer in his place and he was negligent can the hired attorney be sued? There were no witnesses subpoenaed on our behalf to cross examine. The judge wouldn't allow any evidence because of no witnesses. The Lawyer we hired said it was a good case in our favor. He did nothing for representation in the court case.

In theory yes, if there was negligence and thats the first determination. By example you would NEVER subpoena witnesses to cross-examine if at all possible.
