Obtained counsel 2/2 to assist with filing agreed non-parental custody petition. Paid fee plus filing charges plus credit card fee. Called office 3/5 to inquire as to when petition would be ready. Attorney out of office till monday. Sent email requesting expedition and/or information. Have received no response. Would like to obtain other counsel.

You have a right to terminate you attorney should you desired to do so. You should notify the attorney that you hired that they are terminated and you want to come by an pick up your file. You are then free to hire another attorney.
