QUESTION

should I report my attorney for not communicating

Asked on Aug 30th, 2013 on Legal Malpractice - Washington
More details to this question:
I am going through a divorce. It has been going on for 2 years. My attorney does not communicate. We finally went to court last August and my ex allowed me to move to Texas and take the kids. We were suppose to settle by the end of September. We had been to mediation with a judge. We had a few issues to solve. My attorney would not return my calls. I ended up moving and then called him 1 day before we were suppose to go to court. He cancelled the court date and I never heard from him until April. My ex had been sent papers that I did not approve of or sign. My attorney gave my ex the house free and clear. Because it is backwards my attorney said I have no choice. I told him no. 2 court dates have been cancelled since then. My attorney is ignoring me and we were suppose to go to court yesterday. I have no idea what is going on with my case. I keep getting bills and am current. I don't know what to do. He is not fighting for me. The kids and I are destitute.

You might consider filing a grievance with the Washington State Bar Assoc. You can learn how here: http://www.wsba.org/Licensing-and-Lawyer-Conduct/Discipline/File-a-Complaint-Against-a-Lawyer
