Hello my name is patrice. I took my car to a mechanic. The mechanic took my money and didnt give me a receipt for one. He asked if the car ever had a transmission flush i told him no and was told to never told to do it by previous mechanics. He asked if i had 800 bucks he could fix all the minor work on the car since the dealership took the transmission bulb out of my car i said i have no money but 150 he said he will do what he can with the car cuz he hear a bad transmission. The transmission was never bad even the person that told me about the mechanic and drove my car to the mecahnic told me the car even drove good when he dropped it tonthe mechanic.. When i picked it up the car drove ok but the next day it started driving slow it cannot go past 40 miles per hour. I am still paying on this car. He messed up my transmission. I told him not to do the flush but he did and it was nothing i can do. Now i have a torn transmission and he is telling me i have to come up with 1500 to fix it.

Problem here is if you have a "hooptie" or a car you cannpt afford to fix because you only have $150.00 to spend, you really don't have any options, as they all cost money to address, and ti may be difficult to blame a mechanic for "breaking" a beater car needing lots of repairs. Worse, if you over financed a car you could not afford, and its not worth what you are obligated to pay for it - you simply made a disasterous decision and put salt in your own wound. You may be better off, dumping the vehicle for scrap, paying what you owe on the note to keep your credit straight, and taking public transportation or some other means to get around. This may also require several other lifestyle adjustments to accomplish.
