Are my fines going to be expensive for a bench warrant from 7 years ago?

More details to this question:
I was arrested for a bench warrant from 7 years ago. I was unaware I had an unpaid ticket. The ticket was given to a cop friend that said he was going to take care of it for me and never did. Now I have court in 2 months. Should I get a lawyer? Are my fines going to be expensive? I ma a single mom.

This depends on what the charge is about. Get a lawyer to help. That person may be able to get the matter dismissed.

Warrants don't have fines. The underlying charge is what carries a fine. You should hire a lawyer to go to court to recall the warrant. A lawyer can do this without you present, so it is less risky for you.
