QUESTION

Bought a used car from a relative and it turned out to be a lemon!

More details to this question:
Bought it less than 2 months ago. He said the car was in good shape. He bought it off craig's list, said he fixed it up. The other lady's name was still on the pink slip. I have had to replace the brakes and roters and now the engine is dead. do I have any recourse?

In general, no. A buyer of used goods generally does so "as is"; that is, without any warranties of condition. A purported oral warranty of "good" condition is likely too vague to be enforceable, even if proven.
