My girlfriend voluntary entered a live in rehab. Come to find out it is a religious base rehab. I have not been allowed to see my girlfriend for over three month now. She can't call me she can only use the phone when money is needed and this so called counselor Crystal won't let me talk to her. She suffers from mental health problems. What are Ashley and myself rights?
You have none. She entered the rehab voluntarily and chances are very good that you are a major reason why she needed rehab. So Crystal is doing her best to help Ashley get over her dependencies, including you. Perhaps you need to think about going into rehab as well?
Since you are not married and not related, you have no rights. Since you have reason to believe that her mental health is in danger, you can report the matter to the public health authorities. Whatever you do, do not send her or the rehab facility any more money.
Since it was a voluntary commitment she can walk out any time and end the treatment. If she entered it because a judge ruled she needed to have it as part of her parole, then she will be back before the judge. You have no rights because you are not married nor her legal guardian.
