Can I be sued for bed bugs without proof that I was the one that brought them into the building?

My landlord is threatening to sue me because of bed bugs or I have to pay for both apartments.

The answer to "can I be sued" is always yes. If in fact there is no proof that you brought the bedbugs into the building, then you should win the suit.
