Can I be sued twice for the same claim?

More details to this question:
I was sued for nonpayment of rent by an ex-roommate and it was settled in court. Now I am being sued by the guarantor for the same claim lease who is the ex-roommates father. Is this legal?

Yes. If the guarantor paid the main claim, he can sue you for indemnification.
