QUESTION

Can I request a mistrial because there is no proof that I put the sign there?

More details to this question:
I have a small bussiness, and I got a ticket for block of right away for a business sign that was on side of the road. I did not put it there, and there is no evidence that I did. The prosecution tried to get me to pay the fine, I told them I wanted a trial by jury. Can I request a mistrial because there is no proof that I put the sign there?

If you go to trial without an attorney then you are responsible for knowing the rules of evidence just like an attorney. A mistrial will not happen unless the DA screws up or the jury deadlocks. Your best bet for winning is hiring an attorney.
