QUESTION

Can I sue Disney over policy changes made?

Asked on Apr 09th, 2013 on Litigation - New York
More details to this question:
My wife and I bought into the Disney Vacation Club to the tune of $100,000 years ago.At the time they had a liberal smoking policy. However they are increasing smoking restrictions dramatically to point where I was harassed by Disney employees on my last visit last week. One employee told me I was standing on the wrong side of the ash tray! They have also changed the rules to resales limiting their value. Had THIS been their policy in the beginning we would have never bought into it. It seems unfair that they can, over time change policies that limit my enjoyment and now inhibit my ability to resell without a tremendous loss.

That depends upon the wording of the documents you signed when you bought your timeshare. It would likely be worth having that packet reviewed by an attorney.
