More details to this question:
I started a company a few months ago. Needed some boxes, and found a Canadian company that makes them. I paid online, explained the urgency. 2 weeks later, the company had not even began printing the boxes. So I requested a refund, which took another 2 weeks to get. After repeated messages to them. They Finally send me a Canadian check, which I tried depositing into my account, only 2 be told it would take 4-8 weeks to clear. As a result, I had to use the last of my money to order the boxes from a new company. I mailed them the check back so they can wire and deposit it into my account. Long story short, It has been 2 months, I have lost an order of 800 boxes totaling $11,200. I have had to pawn my laptop to get money to eat and now considering selling more stuff just to survive. When all they needed to do was refund the money back to my card the day I asked for it.

You cannot sue for damages and lost income.  Also, I am not sure what the issue is.  The check will clear and you will have your money back.
