A person posted a work email of mine on social media calling it racist without even knowing what i was talking about. Because she got her friends and family to call the company about my email, I was terminated. Can I sue her for slander or defamation of character?

Possibly among other type of legal claims. The key is whether its worth you spending the money to take her to task, as they are not generally contingent fee cases and can be expensive.
