Can I use a text message as proof to get my money back?

More details to this question:
My friend owes me money. She signed an agreement but I lost the paper. I do have a text saying that she owes me but she don't know when she can pay me back. Can I use that as proof to get my money back?

That is hear say evidence and would not be admissible in court. It could be used to "scare" her to paying.
