can my sibling decline a Class Action Lawsuit after it has been won?

More details to this question:
My sibling did opt in for a Class Action Lawsuit, it has been won and now the money waiting for her at the Lawyer Office. She has SSI, Medicare, Food Stamps and Housing Aid which will be seriously affected if she received the money. Can my sibling tell the lawyer that she does not want the money at this time of the process?
