Can the parents file restraining order for a minor child?

More details to this question:
Can the parents file a restraining order for their 16 yr old minor? This is to protect from 19 yr old. Sheriff dept has been involved in an event and has been assigned to investigation.

Yes the parents can file a restraining order on behalf of their minor child.

Not enough information here. has the 19 yr old assaulted anyone? if so get a warrant for assault. If there is just a threat or fear I don't think there is much you can do.
