Could a motel prohibit children from playing on their property?

More details to this question:
We are currently staying in a motel we have been here for 3 weeks now and today the owners said kids are no longer allowed outside is that legal?

A lot depends on the law of the state in question, but generally a landlord is allowed to make reasonable rules for the use of the property. I doubt that a rule that prohibits children from playing outdoors is reasonable. But whether it is or not, this is a good time to find different lodgings. Soon. Good luck.

No, its not legal. However, if you are in a dangerous neighborhood, you should not let the kids out without an adult watching them.
