More details to this question:
Attended Florida State University to pursue a new career, in music therapy. Finished the program in 2011, became board certified two years later. Applied for about 60 openings throughout the Southeast, would get as far as an interview but nothing else. A couple of months ago I discovered that because of an incident that happened almost 20 years ago I am disqualified from being hired at almost every place where therapists are employed. In my admissions process and during my studies I was never told about this nor was I subjected to a full background screening. So I have $130,000 in student loan debt and even under current programs I will have to work years beyond retirement. Is there something I can do about this situation?
