Do I need a lawyer to file a small claims case?

More details to this question:
I'm an over the road truck driver, and while I was on the road she moved in. She was there 3 weeks and I ended up getting evicted while I was on the road, She took all of my things and will not return them to me. What do I do?

No lawyer is needed in small claims court cases, if your total losses are below $10,000. If higher, you should get a lawyer to file in a district court.
