Do I plead guilty and is there a way to keep this off my record?

More details to this question:
I was caught stealing with a friend for less than fifty dollars. We were arrested and bailed out. This is the first thing on my record. Made a stupid choice now we gotta deal with it. I'm just trying to erase this and move on

Absolutely DO NOT plead guilty. You will be labeled a thief for the rest of your life. Hire an attorney and take deferred adjudication at worst.
