Does a school has the right to give your information to another parent

More details to this question:
My son was in an incident where he was hit by a car about a month or 2 ago on school grounds, the parent of the student contacted me threatening a Sue and said my information was given to her by the school, so I'm trying to see what actions can be taken

The school needs to be able to advise the parents of children involved in school incidents. The fact that the other parent contacted you and threatened to sue is not the fault of the school.
