QUESTION

how can i collect on small claim

Asked on Aug 22nd, 2013 on Civil Litigation - Nevada
More details to this question:
I won my small claims case in las vegas in December of 2012 and have made many attempts to negotiate payments for the defendant however she has made promises that she never kept as far as repayment. I've attempted to garnish a bank account with no luck. I haven't been in contact with her in over 5 months due to me leaving on business. I am back and I have reason to believe she has moved and I do not know how to find her address or contact information. What measures can I take in order to find this person and serve them with a debtors examination? I have the information of the lawyer she retained and put on the court papers but I don't know how useful his info would be because he didn't show up to the hearing

There are a number of steps which you can take to collection on your Judgment, from execution on a bank account to garnish of wages to conducting a Judgment Debtor Examination.  The name of an attorney will not necessarily do you any good without the attorney being still able to accept service of the Order for Judgment Debtor Examination.
