How can I defend myself if someone fell on my pavement?

More details to this question:
A few months ago, someone tripped on the pavement in front of my door. The pavement was uneven. They wen to the hospital and yesterday I received a letter from an attorney requesting I contac them on this matter.

Send the letter to your homeowners insurance carrier. This is why you have insurance.
