I had began working in the oilfield in Pennsylvania around 2008. My time in the oilfield ended in August of 2012. While working for this company I was putting in 90+ hours a week. Sometime 100+ hours. I was paid a salary of 3500 a month with no overtime pay. At the beginning of my employment i was notified by my manager that this was completely legal due to the fact that their main office was located in Oklahoma. I remember trying to contact multiple lawyers about this case, but never could any of them to return my calls. So, with me just being excited to have my foot in the door of this massive industry, I took it with a table spoon of salt. I figured since none of the lawyers had returned my calls that my manager must have been telling me the truth. Well sometime after my employment ended this same problem arose in a different company. This is when the issue finally got some attention. By this time quite a bit of time had passed. Please call for the rest of my story.
Don't think that I can help you because by now the statute of limitations has passed. You might try contacting the Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division in the state where you live and talk with them.
