QUESTION

How long do I have to pay a ticket before a warrant is issued?

Asked on Dec 05th, 2012 on Litigation - Illinois
More details to this question:
I got a ticket for suspended license about a year ago. I got pulled over in September 2012 and I was arrested because I had a warrant, and bonded out for 200 dollars . I had a court date about a month later and the prosecutor said I was fine and dismissed it. The money that I paid went toward whatever tickets I had. I called the court house a few weeks later and they told me I had 2 tickets in the amount of $192. Would there probably be a warrant out for my arrest again even though I just bonded out for that and went to court.

You could call the clerk of the court's office & ask them to check if there are any warrants out on you. Since the prosecutor said you were fine it doesn't seem like there would be anymore warrants out on you, but it wouldn't hurt to check with the clerk of the court's office.
