More details to this question:
I recently took my car to trade in. I specifically explained that I STILL owe on the car, as well as gave proof what amount is still owed on the car. The salesperson I spoke with assured me it wouldn't be problem and he could get me into one of his cars despite my bad credit score. I told him how much I wanted to put down and how much I was comfortable paying. after spending a few HOURS on his lot, we settled onto the 2008 Chrysler Sebring. By the type my insurance got switched onto the car I purchased and all the papers had been signed, it was around 8:30 pm . it was rainy and I had a headache all I wanted to do was take my new to me car home and go rest. Wayne, the salesman/manager did not get me copy of the paperwork. when I asked about it, he said he will have it ready for me when I came back in two weeks to make my payment. I asked what would happen now w the car I traded n he stated hed contact the buy here pay here lot I purchased it from. 1 month later I am being harassed.

You will need to have a lawyer review your paper work in regard to the trade in value and payoff. They will also need to contact the prior seller/financer to confirm that your claimed numbers were correct because if they were not they you have OTHER issues.
