I got a letter about civil theft

More details to this question:
The letter stated I took part in a scheme to defrauded a company over 20000 that I am not aware of, should I respond or should leave it alone and what the worst that can happen

Do not under any circumstances ignore this letter. You may not be liable to pay the amount demanded in the letter but you should contact a civil trial lawyer in your area to discuss your options as to the  looming lawsuit against you. As stated in the civil theft letter, the company will be entitled to three times the amount of the damages, plus attorney's fees and costs if they win the lawsuit. The company will get a judgment against you and seek to collect on it.
