Iโve lived here for 6 yrs & no problems. My son who was on drugs kicked my door in. I pressed charges and he did 4 yrs in Florida prison. He came home, works very hard, has a great job but he rents just a room. Itโs not easy to rent with a blemished background. he was coming to my house every night for dinner and I did his laundry once a week. Iโm being accused of having my son live with me with no proof of what document I violated. I went before a committee who was rude, condescending, argumentative and called me a liar. They are deciding if they will fine me. I told them my son does not live with me and my neighbors all say that he doesnโt. I feed my son because he is on a chemo drug and he gets sick. But he does not sleep here and now they forbid my son to come to my home. Can you help. Thank you.
There is no simple solution here as the facts you provide simply aren't believable. Your son is simply there too often, your neighbors have no idea of what REALLY is going on so they are of little use, and EVERY HOA will have restrictions on visitor frequency, unapproved "move ins" and allowing convicted felons on the property. If that seems harsh, its simply because you are sympathetic to your adult child and others are not. You can imgaine if a convicted serial rapist, home robber and murderer (pedofile if you had kids) visited next door everyday - that is somone's child too - but you would be rightfully terrifiied. If your son needs food and laundry - and you REALLY claim he is not living with you......then the remedy is simple, you go to HIS place and cook and do laundry to help him and problem solved. If the answer is you cant or wont do that - THEN its obvious you are not being truthful about your son's staying with you.
