I need a civil litigation lawyer and don't know how to find one. How do I find someone that can represent me without spending a fortune?

My husband & I are being sued by a man that was arrested and jailed (by the commonwealths Attorney) because he detained my husband against his will. He claims that we have embarrassed and defamed him in the community and caused him undue harm and stress. This somehow entitles him to monetary damages from us. We just want this man to leave us alone, which is why we agreed with the commonwealths attorney to let him out of jail with his punishment being time already served (17 days) if he agreed to never bother us again. This has been ongoing for 2+ years, so I would like to get this over with so I don't need to look over my shoulder for more legal nonsense from him. My goal is to find an attorney that is aggressive to finally resolve this matter. Time is of the essence, we received a request for interrogatories and documents due by July 17.

It sounds like he has not met the terms of his release if he is harassing you with a lawsuit when he was supposed to leave you alone. You will want to find an attorney close to the county in which his lawsuit is pending, but I'm not sure what part of the state you are in.
