I live in a small hamlet 1 mile from a main road. The quarry above me on the hill has multiplied their business by blasting limestone and crushing it into smaller products. Commercial truck volume has increased tremendously to sometimes over 300 trucks per day. The trucks "jake brake" down the hill through the hamlet starting at 6:45am. The noise is so loud I cannot hear my 48" tv which is only 8 feet away. I have to take phone calls in the back room with the door closed in order to hear. The stench of unburned diesel fuel and smoke from these trucks are nauseating. They also create clouds of road dust so that when the wind blows from the E/SE I cannot open windows on that side of the house. The road is also constantly littered with stones of all sizes and when pulling out of my driveway I nearly get hit at least two dozen times a year. I'm really starting to get mental over this such as anxiety, and some stress related issues and would like to remedy this in some way.
