QUESTION

Is it possible to sue a Cardiologist for damages AFTER a procedure?

Asked on Dec 18th, 2020 on Civil Litigation - Texas
More details to this question:
On April 30, 2020 my wife went in at 8 am for what should've been a routine stent procedure. At 9 am the Cardiologist informs me that something really bad happened and that my wife went into cardac arrest. During the stent procedure the Dr. proferated her main artery and caused her to go into cardiac arrest. They rushed her into emergeny open heart surgery and double bypass. During the procedure my wife flatlined 3 times and ended up in the ICU for 3 weeks in a coma with an Impella Device in her heart, Ventricular Assist Device. She was in and out of the hospital after she was discharged. Since then she has had to go to speech therapy, cardiac rehab, occupational therapy, etc. Her cognitive development had decreased immensly. AND NOW she is suffeing from something that no doctor has any idea was is causing her symptoms.

Certainly if you believe that a doctor has committed malpractice in performing a procedure causing you damage, you can sue him.  I hope your wife is ok.
