My son went to school and he found out that his friend got shot in the leg due to a drive by shooting. He was not their when it happened then his father picks him up from school the next day. He was having a group discussion with the counselors and support officer about their safety. Then he was called out of his class by his teacher that the officer wanted to speak with him. He was asked several questions. Are they allowed to do that without notifying me? My son was scared and it is mentally messing with his head.
Of course they are allowed to take such action, as they should be. Particularly when the situation is as serious as a shooting the authorities need to act. How would you feel if your son had been shot because the support officer was standing around with his hands in his pockets?
