More details to this question:
So I was given money by an ex girlfriend,1800$, and I was told by herself to pay her back and then told me not to even worry about it. There were no contracts written up for me to pay her back. Now shes trying to make a case out of it.

If the money was given as a loan, then she has a case to compel you to pay it back.
