QUESTION

Is this a First Amendment issue ?

Asked on Nov 20th, 2016 on Civil Litigation - Florida
More details to this question:
An auto dealer in Florida decided to rescind or cancel the contract that we signed. They want me to sign a Rescission and Release Agreement stating that I do not speak to any person, agency or make a comment or post a review . It says that by signing this I am agreeing that the transaction never occurred.

Depending on the circumstances, you may or may not want to sign this agreement, but it has nothing to do with the First Amendment.  The First Amendment to the United States Constitution prohibits GOVERNMENT interference with citizens' freedom of speech (although th ere are many exceptions); it has nothing to do with non-disclosure, non-disparagement, or other agreements between private people or entities.
