I have been with my boyfriend for a little over a year. I am about to purchase a house. Will he have any type of ownership if we ever split? Is there some kinda standard document I can get to prevent it?

Unless you hold yourself out to be married or create a marriage he is your tenant, i.e. no ownership interest. You could have him sign a declaration acknowledging that he has no ownership interest.
