QUESTION

Lost by default Judgement

Asked on Jun 21st, 2015 on Civil Litigation - Colorado
More details to this question:
I lost a civil suit by default judgement and now i owe a certain amount of money to a loan company. Long story short, i had a car that i bough with a loan and due to financial difficulties i made an agreement with with a former roommate and friend for him to take payments over and after a year e stopped doing that. I found that out only when i received the Judgement from the court What is going to happen now? Could anyone please give me a brief summary on what is going to happen and what steps is the creditor most likely to take?

Unless you can get the Judgment set aside for excusable neglect or improper Notice, your pay will likely be soon garnished to pay the judgment. You may consider hiring an attorney to discuss your options, most will offer you a free consultation to get a full understanding of the facts and have a discussion with you.     Good luck!
