My daughter's flute is missing from her school. Is the school responsible?

More details to this question:
Students told to place musical instruments in an area that is not secure - not monitored by personnel or video cameras. My daughter's flute disappeared from the area and the school district claims that they are not responsible. Can I recover if I pursue a small claims cour action?

It is very unlikely that you can recover from the school, because school disrticts have immunity from many types of civil lawsuits.
