my roomate never paid his rent for 15 months

More details to this question:
he is on the lease. i kicked him out 2 months ago. can i sue for the 15 months of rent he owes me? i paid for it all, even the utils.

Yes, you can. Before you invest too much money in suing him, consider that he may be broke and that's the reason he didn't pay you in the first place. You can't get blood from a stone.
