Property damage to my condo caused by pipe break from unit next door

More details to this question:
I had to spend $8000 in addition to what the insurance paid to fix the unit. Liberty Mutual says that they are unable to subrogate as the unit is owned by a bank which has some clause against them going directly after the damages. They are suggesting that I file a case in the small claims court. Since the total damage is around $18000 I am unsure how to proceed forward with the claim against the bank which owns the condo that caused the damage

Good afternoon.
Typically we are able to get your unit or master insurance policy to pay the entire amount of the claim. You should not have to sue the abutting unit owner in order to be made whole. I have been protecting the rights of insureds for about 30 years. We may be able to assist you.
