QUESTION

Recourse for Lennar homes damaging my propery

Asked on Oct 15th, 2018 on Civil Litigation - Florida
More details to this question:
Hello, I have a situation with Lennar Homes beginning to build a new development behind my home. On 10/3, I came home from work to find they had removed my rear fence without notification or permission. I contacted the Land Development manager who informed me that yes they did because when they start building the retention wall behind my home it would have fallen down anyway. I have two large dogs that use the fenced property and I explained this to the manager. I also did not see how they could remove my personal property. They did the next day come and put up a temporary chain link fence which was mute since the next day they started the trench to build the retaining wall and the fence started sinking in the trench. outside. They also destroyed the root system on one side of a tree now and left it exposed to the elements for 5 days. They are now refusing to remove the tree and it could potentially die or fall on my home

This is just a matter of whether you want to start a fight that may cost thousands of dollars to litigate. If you do, NOW is the time to lawyer up and address such things.
