QUESTION

reopen immigration case

Asked on Dec 07th, 2012 on Civil Litigation - New Jersey
More details to this question:
In 2006, I filed a green card application based on my marriage with my wife who is an American citizen. I couldn't fill out an Affidavit form because I couldn't find a sponsor. They gave me 30 days to fill out an affidavit form and I couldn't find a sponsor within that time period. Now in 2012, I would like to reopen that case. Is it possible for me to do this? Thank you.

If you prior application was denied for any reason (including incompleteness), you will need to reapply from scratch. You do not specify whether you are inside or outside the U.S. In any event, you will need to have your wife file and obtain approval of Form I-130 before proceeding.
