request for Entry of default

More details to this question:
Today I got a call at a property I own they received by mail a request for entry of default on my renters and also included myself and my brother who own the property that this paperwork was served. This is the first I am hearing of this, what do I need to do as My brother and myself live in Mexico and the property is in the United States

It sounds like you have been served with a summons and complaint in a lawsuit. You may have been served improperly or the service may have been valid. In either event, you need to protect your rights by quashing service and setting aside the default. Any default judgment may be recorded as a lien against your property. Act quickly to preserve your interests.

It sounds like you have been sued and the Plaintiff is seeking to default you because you did not reply in a timely fashion to the complaint. Even if you didn't previously know about this and did not get properly served, you should immediatley move to set aside the default. You have a limited window in which you are entitled to do so, so this deserves your prompt attention. Do you have a copy of the request for entry of default? Thanks, Jon
