More details to this question:
I was one of the co-signers on a bail. They were making payment until the offender was sentenced to prison. Now the Bail bondsman is sueing everyone For the remaining balance of $10,000.

You may be liable, depending on what the agreement says. You should hire an attorney, this could have negative consequences for your finances and credit rating.
