In 2011 I helped my grandson obtain a student loan for college ($20,000) verbal agreement that he'd pay it back now that it's due he doesn't want to pay on it would like to get him into court vfor judge to make a discussion

You'll need to make the payments on the loan then sue your grandson for reimbursement based on breach of contract. But you don't have recoverable damages until you make the payments.
