More details to this question:
I agreed to reimburse my future father-in-law on a monthly basis for a lease on a new vehicle for my fiancé. He told me that once we were married, he would sign the vehicle over to me. He ended up buying out the lease prior to it ending and therefore owned the vehicle outright. My fiancé and I broke up prior to getting married, and now he still owns the vehicle while I contributed significantly to it under the agreement that it would be signed over to me after marriage. Do I have any legal standing to sue for my equity contribution to the vehicle ($22k)?
