The statute of limitations in Wisconsin for medical malpractice is 3 three years from the date of the occurrence. Further, if this is a claim against a governmental entity, you are also required to provide a  written notice of claim on the municipality by having the same personally served within 120 days of the occurrence, or the claim would be forever barred. There are strict time line rules for making a claim against a governmental entity and if they are not strictly complied with, the claim would be barred.
