Two defendants being sued by small LLC in Nevada

More details to this question:
Two separate defendants in different states. The LLC owner has stated she has made up with one of the defendants and is no longer suing him only the other defendant but all documents including intent to take default, motion to strike the other defendants answer, certificates of service etc are being sent to both parties. Would the other defendants name be removed from the lawsuit or can it still appear on documents and not actually be a party in the lawsuit or be settled outside of court but remain a named party?

Procedures may be different in Nevada, bu tin New York a defendant's name reamins on the caption of the case even after the claims against that party have been resolved.
