QUESTION

Vehicle issue involving tittle

Asked on Jun 05th, 2017 on Civil Litigation - Indiana
More details to this question:
Signed a vehicle over to a friend, she never transferred the tittle to her name. I told her if she didn't want it to let me know and I would take it back. She got rid of it, my plates and registration and won't tell me anything else about it. If I sued her would I have a chance of winning??

What do you mean by signed it over? If the title wasn't in her name then it hadn't been transferred and you were still technically the rightful owner of the vehicle, but it may be deemed a constructive transfer if you had signed the title transfer documents, but she had simply failed to register it with the BMV. You should call the BMV or the Indiana Bar Association and discuss this further with them.
