I've been employed at my job for 20 plus years, during the years i've developed a variety of allergies, I workout every day I would consider myself pretty healthy. During a 4million dollar renovation on my job, black mold was discovered, especially near my office, a company was called in and they closed the facility down for a week to treat the mold infestation. i believe I've been infected, specially with my breathing etc., I need some guidance of how to proceed with this.
Generally, unless you have a long term condition or some specific ailment attributable to mold, such injury cliams are very hard to prove and value. In your case considering yourself "pretty healthy" does't fit the bill for a mold injury claim. "I believe I've been infected" is simply insufficient as you need to establish specific problems attributible to mold toxicity. Breathing issues, in height of pollen season, have to be sorted out as yu might imagine. Since this happened at work, on a positive note, you would likely be able to, and may be required to, file a work comp claim.
