QUESTION

What can I do about a money order mix up?

Asked on Jul 24th, 2014 on Litigation - California
More details to this question:
I made a money order at a local mini market for $200, but got ripped off and he gave me $100 and will not refund me back. When I asked that he rewind the tapes to prove that I did give him $200 which he counted twice, he refused and said that I am lying. Is there anything that I can do about it? Should I alert the authorities? Or demand that he look at the footage because I am 100% right and know that if he looks at it, it will show him counting 10, $20 bills twice?

First talk to the owner of the store. You could sue him in small claims court.
